COACH COMMENTS ON TEAM/LEAGUE
We are bringing back 6 returners from last year, and the kids are working very hard. We are very guard oriented and will need to play pressure defense and attack the rim offensively to be successful. Our shot selection and decision making is what we are continuing to improve on and our kids have done that thus far this season.
Coach Dobrkovsky's assessment of the CVC for 2009:
McNary has the most returners coming back from a conference title last year
South Salem graduated the conference player of the year but has some experienced players coming back plus a couple big kids that transferred in.
McKay has first team all conference player in Carter and then their starting five is really athletic.
West Salem has second team all conference returner Saba and he controls the tempo so well
Redmond has Leunen returning along with an athletic guard in Baca but has some young guys with not very much experience.
North Salem could be a scary team and better than predicted because they have some size and they will play hard for coach Cho.
