COACH COMMENTS ON TEAM/LEAGUE
We are young but full of enthusiasm, a very fun group to coach. We will need to learn and gain experience through a very tough non-league schedule to get ready be competitive in the CVC. Saba will do a great job of leading our team and helping them through the learning process. He has been a varsity starter since his freshman year and he does a good job as our point guard to try and keep things organized. Our goal is to put ourselves in position to make the playoffs. There are teams with more experience than the Titans, but we feel if we make steady progress, we have a realistic shot of gaining a spot.
Coach Cross gives his assessment of the CVC:
McNary returns 7 or 8 varsity players that won the CVC last year. Sprague has 3 solid varsity perimeter returners. McKay returns a lot of varsity experience. And the rest of us are all about the same. North may have their best group in a long time and will be the team that will be tough if they can play up to their ability.
