Coaches select Saxons in FAS's 2011 CVC grid poll
South Salem is the odds-on favorite to win the Central Valley Conference football championship this upcoming season.
Full Access Sports' annual poll of all six conference football coaches gave the Saxons five of the first place votes, and 25 total points. Defending champion West Salem was awarded the other first place ballot, and received 22 points to finish second in the survey.
Sprague was third in the balloting, followed by McNary, North Salem, and McKay.
Teams begin playing on Friday, September second. The Central Valley Conference will start league action the first Friday in October.

All six of the CVC coaches voted in the survey. Teams received five points for a first place vote, four points for a second place vote, etc. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.
